You might want to work with me if…
You’re a parent and you want to understand how best to support your child within your family and beyond.
You might:
- be wondering if your child is neurodivergent and want space to explore this
- know deep in your bones that your child needs something different to what you are currently offering them (with regards to managing their emotional wellbeing, behaviour or education)
- be exploring non-traditional ways of parenting (or even educating) and want support to understand what this could look like for your family
- be experiencing lots of distress related behaviours in your home (your child, and sometimes yourself) and you really want things to be different
My Style
For me the foundation to any effective relationship is safety, so I always start by spending time to truly get to know you, your family and your situation. I prioritise authenticity, compassion, and working towards living in line with your values. I hope that it feels safe to be with me, that you truly feel listened to, that you feel I am an ally in your situation, coming alongside you to support you at this point in your journey.
As a qualified Clinical Psychologist I draw on a range of models in my work, neuroscientific and attachment focused models, narrative and compassion focused models, CBT. I am trained in the Family Partnership Model (a systemic model of working with families), which places effective relationships at the heart of the helping process.
I am also a qualified Mindfulness Teacher.
